Full job description
Retail and Warehouse Associate
We are looking for a part time, friendly representative to assist customers with our lumber program within the warehouse area. This part-time position is a hybrid of warehouse and retail sales, such as, restocking racks, helping customers pick materials, and picking orders. This position is for four to five days per week from Monday to Friday and scheduled Saturdays.
You will gain experience in:
- Product knowledge in Renovation materials and friendly customer service by assisting customers locate and select their lumber
- You will be able to do quick addition in your head by counting, tagging, and organizing Customer Orders.
- You will build muscles by putting lumber into the racks.
The applicant must be able to:
- work productively and efficiently unsupervised
- maintain and uphold a friendly and co-operative atmosphere
- multi-task and maintain a positive customer focused attitude
- lift over 50 pounds
Qualifications
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks
- Proficiency in order picking processes
- Experience with warehouse distribution operations
- Familiarity with mechanical equipment and tools
- Skilled in using reach trucks and forklifts
- Knowledge of packaging and order fulfillment procedures
- Previous experience in construction or manufacturing environments
- Ability to load and unload materials efficiently
Job Type: Part-time
Pay:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 32 per week
