Goodreid has over two decades of experience managing money and is looking to hire an Equity Analyst to expand our investment team. With a well-known brand in the industry, robust asset growth, and a strong marketing and business development program, the role represents an exciting opportunity.
About this role:
Reporting to Goodreid’s Senior Portfolio Managers, this role involves producing original analysis of sectors, companies, and stocks by engaging with top management, conducting desktop research, connecting with industry experts, sell-side analysts, and seasoned colleagues. The Associate will perform analyses to formulate investment recommendations for assigned stocks, covering 40-60 stocks in total.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of publicly traded companies, including financial modeling and valuation.
- Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly and annual reporting as required
- Monitor industry trends, economic indicators, and market developments to inform investment decisions.
- Prepare detailed investment reports and presentations,
including KYP documentation and factsheets
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to support investment strategies and optimize portfolio performance.
- Maintain relationships with company management, industry experts, and other analysts to gather insights.
- Present findings and investment ideas to internal stakeholders.
- Participate in marketing activities and support client service teams where needed
Qualifications:
- Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; CFA designation is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience as an equity research analyst or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel,
financial software, and research databases (e.g., Bloomberg).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of industry and firm compliance regulations
- This position requires the candidate to reside in the Greater Toronto Area
