Quality Control Inspector - Onsite
We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our world-class manufacturing and design facility in
Ottawa, Ontario!
As our Quality Control Inspector, you will ensure that all
products and material conform to, drawings, specifications, Curtiss-Wright workmanship standards and contractual requirements.
You shall provide support for both
Receiving Inspection of raw material and Final Inspection
of manufactured product.
Additionally, you will complete
non-conformances reports
when defects are found.

Product and raw material inspection
Inspection defect analysis reports
Certificates of Conformance forms (C of C)
Surveillance Inspection Reports, checklists
Quality Control Surveillance Reports
Inspection Logs
All quality/manufacturing documents for storage and retention, if necessary
Ensure that inspection targets, quality requirements and schedules are maintained.
Provide recommendations for continuous improvements
Conduct surveillance inspections in the manufacturing areas to ensure compliance to manufacturing procedures
Contribute to a healthy, orderly, safe working environment through a positive attitude and constructive feedback
QC Inspectors may be trained to perform IST Testing to support manufacturing operations.
IST Testing Responsibilities: Set up and perform tests using IST-HC Automated Test Equipment
Follow IST test protocols
Troubleshoot Testers periodically when issues arise.
Feedback to Man Eng. any findings.
Cables, Power Supply's etc.
Complete all logs and test reports as required by Manufacturing Engineer
Attend all IST-related MRB meetings to provide input and relay to group outcome of meetings
Interact with NPI and PWB Teams and Steering committees for IST process related issues and problems
Coordinate conference calls with the Supplier of the equipment as required and at any point request onsite visit from them and be the POC for those visits for IST Machine related upgrades and or any operating issues being seen by the IST Machines
Arrange appropriated Calibration/Maintenance schedules working directly with the ME support Team that will allow the Testers to see the least amount of down time during these mandatory efforts
Attend trainings and understand the test requirements for various IST coupon designs
Identify and document non-conforming products
Provide feedback on all IST-related issues to Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineering and the IST group and make recommendations for continuous process improvements.
What You Bring:
Technical Diploma in related field
2 - 4 years' experience in quality inspection of military electronic products
Certified IPC-A-610
Good communication skills -- spoken and written
Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Microsoft Exchange)
SAP and EM Quality skills are an asset.
