The Senior Manager of Marketing develops and implements marketing strategies to drive growth, boost brand awareness, and increase member engagement. This role shapes the credit union’s market presence through data-driven campaigns, strategic communication, and leading a dynamic team. Focusing on growth and innovation, the manager ensures all efforts align with First Credit Union’s vision and values while fostering community relationships.
Major Responsibilities:
Develop and execute data-driven marketing strategies that support the credit union’s business objectives, focusing on member acquisition, retention, and product promotion.
Maintain and evolve the credit union’s brand identity across all marketing channels, ensuring consistent messaging and a strong brand presence.
Drive strategic marketing planning sessions with credit union leadership, providing insights into market trends, competitor analysis, and member behaviour.
Lead, mentor, and manage a dynamic marketing team, fostering creativity, collaboration, and professional development.






Design and launch multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, events, social media) aimed at enhancing member engagement and increasing product usage.
Oversee the creation of member communication strategies, including newsletters, email marketing, and personalized outreach to improve the member experience.
Participate in special projects, committees, implementation teams and other related assignments required for operational, cross-departmental, or corporate initiatives.
Foster strong relationships with external partners, including media, vendors, and community partners, to elevate the credit union’s profile and brand reputation.






Lead market research initiatives to anticipate industry trends and capitalize on emerging opportunities, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Develop strategies to expand market reach, optimize product offerings, and enhance member engagement through digital channels, ensuring that First Credit Union remains competitive in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.
Serve as the go-to resource for internal organizational communications, ensuring clear and consistent messaging across all departments and teams.
Direct digital marketing efforts, including content strategy, social media, email campaigns, and the website, ensuring alignment with brand values and overall marketing objectives.
Required Experience, Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications,





or a related field. A Master’s degree or additional certifications in leadership or marketing strategy is preferred.
7-10 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the financial services or credit union system.
3-5 years of experience in a leadership role, managing teams, projects, and marketing budgets.
Expertise in developing, executing, and optimizing marketing strategies across multiple channels.
Strong analytical capabilities, with experience in interpreting marketing data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
Experience in developing and executing marketing strategies that have driven growth, improved brand visibility, or increased member engagement.






Experience with regulatory requirements and marketing within a compliance-heavy environment is preferred.
