Job Description

We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client's team in Halifax, NS. This is a long-term contract opportunity, offering part-time flexibility (approx. 20 hours per week during standard business hours). This role will primarily focus on managing AP functions while also support general administrative duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

- Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments
- Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with preparing payment runs and managing approval workflows
- Perform data entry and maintain financial records






- Support with month-end processes as needed
- Other AP and administrative support duties as required

Skills & Attributes for Success:

- Post-secondary education in business or accounting
- 3 – 5+ years’ versatile, hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Teams, and Outlook
- Superior time management and attention to detail
- Self-starter with a motivated work ethic and the ability to work efficiently in an independent role
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Professional and positive communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
