Our quant function is comprised of world-class quants and developers who bring cutting edge technical and numerical skills from top financial services firms. The Technology teams work together to create, innovate, and better a wide range of world-class investment platforms and solutions. They work directly with our global portfolio management team to build highly customized solutions in a rapidly evolving environment.
We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Quantitative Software Developer who would like to play a role in the future of the business through innovative in-house built solutions. You will have the opportunity to work directly with our Global Portfolio Management team to drive results and wider business success.
What will you do?
- Build, maintain, support, and improve our industry leading software – Your will work with a team of experienced developers and quantitative analysts on our next generation Trading & Analytics platforms, real-time risk engine, and critical operational infrastructure that are used by internal teams: Portfolio Management, Trading, Risk, Compliance, Business Development, Operations, and Finance.
- You will focus on development requiring quantitative solutions – at least half of your time, you’ll focus on designing, building and supporting quantitative models in our code base.
- You will have the opportunity to work with Portfolio Managers and Investment Teams to actively enhance Trading & Analytics software.
You will manage individual projects, priorities, and results.
- Collaborate with your peers – You will provide and receive direct and regular feedback from your team and internal customers. You will receive coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities from Senior Developers and others in the organization.
Who are you?
- You have advanced knowledge of Quantitative Finance – You have developed financial pricing (IRS, CDS, Swaptions, callable bonds, Equity derivatives, Curve bootstrapping, etc.) and risk models (VaR, Capital, Credit, risk metrics, etc.).
- You have a passion for coding and problem solving – You have hands on experience with C#, .NET, C++, Java, or any other object-oriented language.
You have a good understanding of design patterns and experience with parallel and asynchronous programming. You are eager to continuously learn new things about technology.
- You are driven to build models that exploit capital market inefficiencies – You are willing to learn and apply your skills to generate quant trading signals (over time).
- You have a keen interest in the financial industry – You are eager to learn about the financial industry from your work, peers, and industry experts.
- You can balance writing clean and quality code with execution and delivery – You have a strong work ethic and are able to balance working in a fast-paced environment with writing quality code.
- You are an excellent communicator – You can communicate with people of varying levels of technical expertise to scope out, test, and execute projects. You’re someone who enjoys troubleshooting and working on solving interesting and complicated problems with other smart technologists and investment professionals.
