Position: UI/UX Graphic Designer (NOC 52120)
Location: Vancouver, BC
Wage: $35 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week
Job Description:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Graphic Designer to join our team. In this role, you will conceptualize and produce engaging visual materials that effectively communicate information for digital platforms, including websites and applications. You will collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to develop user-friendly designs that enhance the overall user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements, and content of communications materials to meet their needs.
Determine the best medium for producing the desired visual effects and the most appropriate vehicle for communication.
Develop graphic elements that align with clients' objectives.
Prepare sketches, layouts, and graphic elements using traditional tools and multimedia software, including image processing and layout design software.
Estimate costs of materials and time required to complete design projects.
Use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides or hire illustrators/photographers to create images that meet clients' communication needs.
Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers.
Coordinate all aspects of production for electronic materials such as websites and interactive applications.
Supervise and collaborate with other graphic designers or graphic arts technicians.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
University degree or college diploma in related fields.
Proven experience as a UI/UX Graphic Designer or similar role.
Proficient in graphic design software,
such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools.
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and meet deadlines.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
