The Role
This role requires a commercially-minded professional who is capable of synthesizing opportunities through listening to the needs of their clients, understanding market and competitive trends, and creating solutions to solve clients' problems. This individual will develop sales and account plans within their assigned accounts, identify new accounts,
and assist in the development and launch of new products to ensure the ongoing success and growth of the organization.
You Will Have The Opportunity To:
- Achieve individual and overall organization sales targets ensuring deliverability of programs to meet customer objectives and expectations
- Directly manage key accounts to drive growth and cultivate lasting relationships and loyalty
- Develop account plans and selling strategies to ensure long term growth
- Implement strategies to drive renewal business as well a new business with our existing customer base
- Identify new clients across industry segments. These may include the following: OTC, BTC and Rx pharmaceutical organizations, medical institutions, health organizations, medical societies and public health sectors
- Accountable for client relationships including pharma, KOLs,
medical societies and key healthcare organizations to drive sales solutions
- Report progress, success and return on investment to clients throughout account lifecycle
- Provide regular reporting and tracking of personal sales pipeline, forecasts, CRM (customer relationship management) in relation to company sales targets and KPIs
- Work remotely with some travel required for client and company meetings within the Greater Toronto area
What You Will Bring:
The role requires an individual with strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), with a proven track record of direct sales achievements and sales results success, who is dynamic, outgoing, professional and able to interact with client management at all levels.
The ability to understand client objectives and translate them into proposed tactics is critical to success as is strategic foresight and the ability to identify growth opportunities for additional business. Specific requirements include:
- University degree in Science, Health or related discipline
- Minimum of 1+ years experience in consumer health, pharmaceutical sales and marketing is a must
- Proven success with 1+ years in (healthcare industry-related preferred) sales or business development role, preferably with client management experience
- Specific experience in Continuing Medical Education, pharmaceutical marketing, consumer health marketing, and/or pharmaceutical advertising industries (PAAB) an asset
- Proven ability to foster strong client relationships,
and support efforts to generate new business opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to understand client objectives and translate them into proposed tactics
- Strategic foresight and strong ability to identify growth opportunities for additional business
- Strong attention to detail, client service, and a highly proactive “take ownership” attitude
