Position Overview: NCSG Crane and Heavy Haul Services is seeking a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic to assist our maintenance team that supports our Fort McMurray AB. branch and region. position is based out of our Ruth Lake branch north of Fort McMurray, AB. This will be a fantastic learning and growth opportunity for the right candidate. Your success will be defined by your ability to:

- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices including NCSG's Life Saving Rules, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Daily maintenance of property, equipment (i.e., Cranes), and vehicles throughout the facility.
- Inspects and evaluates operating conditions of equipment and vehicles;
- Performs maintenance activities and modifies existing equipment and systems to keep the facility in good running order;
- Ensures that all maintenance is completed in accordance with established department policies and safety regulations;
- Attends training sessions to update technical knowledge as needed;
- Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned;
- Completes special projects as assigned..

Additional Training Requirements:

- CVIP License required.
- Fall Arrest;
- WHIMIS 2015;
- CSO;
- H2S Alive;
- First Aid;
- CSTS 2020;

Qualifications:

- Licensed Journeyman Certificate.






- 3rd or 4th year apprentices with relevant experience will be considered.
- Valid Driver’s License and must provide five-year commercial driver's abstract prior to hiring.
- Heavy duty experience required and crane experience an asset, specifically Liebherr crawlers, as well as Grove, LInkbelt and Tadano cranes;
- Must have own tools.

Position Details:

- Must be a member in good standing or willing to join Operating Engineers Local 955;
- Different rotational schedules available for the right candidate; 14 & 7, 14 & 14, 20 & 10.
- Camp provided;
- 12 hour shifts;
- Fort McMurray uplift is available for local candidates of $7.00 per hour up to $70.00 per day worked.
- Majority of the work is in the field.
