Position Summary
Reporting to the Health, Safety and Environment Manager, the Manufacturing Health & Safety ('H&S;') Business Partner will collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to achieve and sustain facility-specific operational excellence in Health & Safety.
The successful candidate will act as a change agent to ensure site compliance with the organization’s health and safety program and assist with transformational growth in this busy facility.

Duties & Responsibilities
Oversees the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Calgary 515 Manufacturing H&S; program with a focus on future growth within the organization.
Participates in the development of strategic H&S; objectives in alignment with the organizations' program and standardized safety management system(s).
Assesses organizational risk and manages the issuance and training of policies, procedures, and control measures to appropriately address and mitigate risks at the facility level.
Leads site and facility incident investigations to ensure that a root cause analysis results in the prevention of recurrence and in program improvement.
Supports internal and external facility audits to ensure compliance with applicable Acts, Regulations, policies, and recognized industry standards.
Develops H&S; performance reports and key performance indicators to identify and share improvement opportunities with senior leadership.
In coordination with the site HR Business Partner, administers the disability management program and oversees return to work and modified duty programs.
Ensures all employees and levels of management at the facility are aware of and coached in their responsibilities for H&S.;
In coordination with the HR Business Partner, coordinates the facility-level occupational health program including communicable disease surveillance tracking, reporting, and exposure contact tracing; health reviews related to absence and illness management.
Manages the on-site ergonomics program, including components such as physical demands analysis, functional capability and restriction assessments, as well as workstation assessments and improvement plans.
Maintains existing and, as required, initiates new third-party safety certifications (i.e., Certificate of Recognition).
Provides oversight and budgeting for site/facility health and safety expenditures.
Responsible for developing and delivering safety meetings and training opportunities to facility employees and management.
Education and Professional Qualifications
Occupational Health & Safety degree, diploma, or equivalent certificates.
Related Professional Certification is required (e.g., CRSP, CSP, ROH, CIH).
Experience10+ years of progressive Health & Safety experience.
Aircraft Manufacturing or Industrial Manufacturing experience is considered an asset.
Experience conducting formal investigations and working with operations to ensure risk mitigation, incident closure, and follow-up (Taproot Training Preferred).
Mature understanding of auditing processes with experience conducting internal audits (e.g., COR audits, Manufacturers’ Health & Safety Association).
Proven experience leading H&S; operational excellence and compliance assurance programs.
Experience with Federal Safety Regulations is an asset.
Skills
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power
Point).
Accurate and strong data analysis skills specific to digital platforms (Quality/Safety Systems).
Strong time management, written/verbal communication, and digital technology skills.
Proven ability to assist with the design and rollout of internal H&S; programs.
Strong working knowledge of the WCB claim management processes.
