Job Title: Senior Full Stack Developer
Contract Duration: 5+ Months
Pay range C$700 - 750/Day
Work Type: Hybrid
Location: Toronto, ON
About the Role:
We're seeking a talented and experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team! As a key player, you'll translate complex business needs into robust, secure web applications. You'll leverage your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and various front-end technologies to build high-performing and scalable solutions. This role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing you to split your time between onsite and remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full Stack Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain modular,
scalable web applications with a focus on speed, performance, and security.
- Build robust front-end applications using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, and HTML5.
- Develop secure back-end services using Java and the Spring Boot Framework.
- Integrate front-end UI with constructed RESTful APIs.
- Ensure developed applications comply with AODA accessibility standards.
- Database Management:
- Design and manage efficient database structures, primarily using Oracle 19c.
- Write complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data.
- API Integration:
- Work with various APIs, including RESTful APIs and API Gateways (Gravitee.io, IBM API Connect).
- DevOps Practices:
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and utilize tools like Azure DevOps for version control and deployment.
- Manage containerized environments using technologies like Docker, Podman, RedHat OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
- Security Expertise:
- Implement strong authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
- Ensure developed applications adhere to industry best practices for secure development.
- Problem-Solving & Collaboration:
- Troubleshoot technical problems related to software applications.
- Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in software development.
- 5+ years of experience with full-stack development technologies (front-end & back-end).
- 5+ years of experience with Java and the Spring Boot Framework.
- 10+ years of experience with relational databases, particularly Oracle.
- Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles (OAuth 2.0,
OpenID Connect, JWT).
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift).
- Proficiency in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
- Experience with data formats (JSON, XML) and information retrieval tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Public sector experience is a plus.
- Experience with HL7 FHIR, HAPI FHIR, DataPower web services, ONE ID, OntarioMD's Health Report Manager (HRM), and Ontario Design System (all desirable).
