Western Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Centre is welcoming for a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join our team.
This position provides an opportunity to work with board-certified specialists and the ability to partake in cutting-edge veterinary medicine.
Western is expanding the emergency service to meet the needs of the local veterinary community.
Our goal is to provide a long-term career as an emergency veterinarian,
with a sustainable shift-rotation schedule and stimulating yet manageable caseload.

We offer a dynamic team environment, encompassing specialty and emergency services.
The specialist and emergency services are highly integrated, with our team of specialists providing on-call support for emergency procedures and complicated cases.
Candidates should have previous emergency experience and completion of an internship program is an asset (but not a requirement).
We pride ourselves in exceptional client service and communication skills.
Our 24-hour emergency department is led by three Criticalists and two Critical Care Residents.
We have a strong team of experienced emergency veterinarians.

A valid DVM license from an accredited university

Schedule: The emergency team works a rotational schedule including overnights and weekends.
This allows for even distribution of the workload and an overall improved hospital experience.
Our specialists also participate in providing after-hours support to our emergency team.
