Sir Winston Churchill PS. Sir Winston Churchill is located in the residential area of Parkwood Hills, in the heart of Nepean. Our families,
who represent a rich diversity of cultural backgrounds, are considered to be essential partners in the learning process. We are a K-6 school offering a 50/50 Kindergarten program and an Early French Immersion program to students from Grades 1-6. Our school mission is built upon the core values of "Responsibility, Integrity and Excellence"
Ideal candidates will support the fulfillment of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board’s (OCDSB) Strategic Plan to enhance the quality of education in the school, and the District, by creating a positive and inclusive school climate, learning and workplace environment. All Occasional Teachers are eligible to apply for Long Term Occasional postings for which they are qualified.
If you are fully external to the OCDSB,
you may apply to this posting if you have the required qualifications. Please be advised that our order of consideration for Elementary LTO's is as follows: 1) current elementary occasional teacher applicants, followed by 2) qualified external applicants.

Additional Requirements (experience, knowledge, education,) considered an asset for the Position: N/A

Process for selection:
A minimum of 3 qualified applicants will be offered an interview, including:
1. At least three (3)
teachers, who are currently employed as an occasional teacher with the OCDSB, and who have the required OCT qualifications and who best meet the criteria outlined in the job posting.
2. If fewer than three (3) qualified applicants apply, all qualified applicants will be interviewed.
It is the expectation that a teacher who accepts an assignment must agree to complete the assignment as posted. Teachers should apply only to the vacancies to which they will accept an interview.
