S.i. Systems public health authority client based in downtown Vancouver requires a Hybrid Senior Business Analyst to support enterprise IMIT PMO via discovery, facilitation, planning and implementation of IT projects.
This role will be hybrid (up to 50% of time onsite). The office is located in downtown Vancouver. Lastly, only local candidates will be considered.
Contract start: when awarded, estimated start first week of December
Contract end: March 31, 2025 (fiscal year end). Renewal is probable.
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Computer Science/Business/Health Informatics) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 8+ years’ of experience in Business Analysis in a complex business environment and preferably with 5 or more of those as a Senior Business Analyst
• Experience delivering projects utilizing CRM technology - preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365, M365 platform, PowerBI, MS Azure Cloud
• Experience working on agile projects, hybrid projects and waterfall projects through full project lifecycle
• Proven experience with commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) systems, custom development, business architecture, and operations
• Experience developing RFx documents, vendor selection, and contract structuring
• Experience leading stakeholder sessions/workshops with audience at a Director level and above
• Experience on business driven or business transformation projects
• Experience working with project tools such as MS Project, OnePlan, Azure DevOps, Jira, or monday.com
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
• Experience providing strategic planning and/or product management
• Experience in health sector with primary care or processes change on Canadian Healthcare projects
• Experience with facilities and infrastructure projects
JOB DUTIES:
- Functionally reporting to the Manager, Business Analysis, the Business Analyst will work closely with other Business Analysts, Project Managers and IMIT Leadership to define, plan, document, and implement solutions as assigned.
- The BA will be expected to engage with various internal and external stakeholders including executives, managers, technology teams, First Nations clients and communities, vendors and other Health Authority representatives.
- BA will work with stakeholders to understand, analyze and document business requirements, translate them into functional and non-functional requirements, designs, features, epics and user stories.
- The BA will be expected to draft business cases, use cases, current state and future states, end-to-end documentation, complex process workflows, product roadmaps, Service Level Agreements, test plans and scripts, training materials, and standard operating procedures reflecting industry best practices while incorporating knowledge of First Nations culture and practices.
- Where required, the BA will also be expected to participate in the creation of competitive bid (e.g. SoW and/or RFx) documentation, project charters, project plans, status reports and the documentation to support decisions, risk assessment and issue management.
- Humility, compassion, diplomacy and ability to facilitate discussion and decision making are all key aspects of this role.
