DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Heavy duty equipment Field service technician to join our Distribution Business in Mount Pearl NL.
This is a field service position which requires travel throughout the island, with all meals and accommodations provided plus allowances as per the CBA Local 855.
We are looking for a Red seal certified Heavy duty technician who will receive on the job training as well as classroom training on the diversified product line like Marine engines and Generators.

RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Completes preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on diesel engines or component at the customer site with minimal direction.
Engages with customer in a courteous and professional manner and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
Completes training in line with skill and business requirements.
Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation.
QUALIFICATIONS
in order to be successful in this role you will need the following: Education, Licenses, Certifications
Red seal heavy duty mechanic certification
Local valid driver's license
Clean drivers abstract is required for this position
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Basic level of workshop related experience required.
Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engines and power generation products
High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience.
This role is Monday through Friday, with a regular work week of 42.5 hours.
The salary is starting in the 93K+ range based on experience and as per the CBA.
Overtime is required and available
This position is eligible to a 5000$ sign on bonus
