Our client, one of the big 5 banks in Canada, is looking to hire a Loan Analyst to help support their corporate office located in the downtown Toronto area.
Please note - this is a hybrid role, with the expectations to work in the office once a week in the downtown Toronto area.
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following: The Analyst will work in the Investment & Corporate Banking group of the banks Capital Markets, specifically within the Loan Syndications group.
The Analyst will work closely with deal and portfolio teams and duties will include, but are not limited to: Preparation of client presentations and marketing materials including: loan market overviews, bank financing credentials,
industry/transaction comparables, syndicate analyses, etc.
Management of Canadian private syndicated loan databases
Review and co-ordination of all league table data for Corporate Banking
Support the underwriting, syndication and closing of new credit facilities (for M&A; and general corporate purposes) including: assistance with preparation of information memorandums and lenders presentations, coordinating the logistics for lenders' meetings, managing data sites, and liaising with syndicate lenders, borrowers and legal counsel
Providing syndicated loan market intelligence data to Investment and Corporate Banking partners
Must Have Experience/Skills: 1) 6 months+ banking Experience within Lending (Ideal is syndicated lending but could be mortgages, personal lending, etc.)
2) Experience calculating interest (Systems do it, but should have factors /knowledge of how it's calculated)
3) Excel Skills (Using it for calculating interest or divvy shares.
Basic calculations / charts).
