Service Technician

Agilus is recruiting for a Service Technician in the Machinery manufacturing industry in Charlottetown or Summerside, Prince Edward Island.

The Service Technician will provide high-level customer service when providing service and maintenance to our clients' equipment end users and building important relations with their customer base.

You will be supported with continuous opportunities to develop valuable technical skills through on-the-job experiences and other training resources offered within the company.

Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out maintenance and service on our clients' products, as well as other brand equipment,





and advising them about the general operations of their machines and maintenance requirements while promoting our clients' service products.
2. Commissioning new equipment and effectively diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment.
3. Supporting our client's local customer base, developing new customers, and maximizing time utilization.
4. Taking responsibility over opportunities to update your own product knowledge by reading instruction books, technical bulletins, referring to any other technical information system, and other company resources, and by actively participating in the training programs as offered by the company.
5. Managing daily administrative duties such as ensuring time sheets, work orders, emails, and other documentation are signed by customers when applicable and submitted timely, as well as preparing service reports and offering strategic solutions to problems.
6. Advising the operations service manager and/or the service salesman of any new business opportunity.

Successful candidates will have:

1. Certification in the following area: Industrial Mechanic, Electrician,





Automotive Service Technician or similar mechanical knowledge/experience.
2. Experience servicing compressed air equipment (Good to have).
3. Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
4. Enjoy working independently and can self-manage to meet deadlines and move ahead in your daily tasks.
5. Good physical endurance and comfortable working in conditions that involve frequent travel for both short and extended periods, occasional on-call schedule that can require evenings, weekends, and holidays (in case of customer emergency call), being hands-on using wrenches and other tools, lifting 50lbs regularly and working in extreme temperatures.
