Astellas Pharma Canada (APCA) is currently searching for a
Ethics & Compliance Business Partner, Canada - Established Markets.

Purpose and Scope
Responsible for the delivery of strategic,





comprehensive and effective ethics and compliance programs and business partnering for highly complex and critical/high priority activities globally.

This role will coordinate with the Ethics & Compliance (“E & C”) Global Excellence & Transformation (“GET”) team to provide input into the design and deployment strategies for elements of the global compliance program, working closely with Affiliate(s) management to ensure effective implementation and understanding throughout the Affiliate(s).

This role will serve as the senior compliance officer for the Affiliate(s) to which this role is assigned and provide or oversee the provision of Compliance support related to protecting and advancing the compliance and risk-mitigation interests of Astellas in the Affiliate(s)
Responsibilities and Accountabilities






Responsible for the delivery of strategic business partnership ensuring that VALUE for the patient is realized in an effective, efficient and sustainable manner.

Maintain, enhance and continuously improve, in partnership with the Executive Director and GET, the Compliance Department in the Affiliate(s) through implementation of global compliance program, with responsibility to ensure that due consideration has been taken into its design and deployment of local codes and regulations accordingly.

This includes but is not limited to Astellas Global or Regional policies, E&C; minimum standards, risk assessment and monitoring, training and communications, third party risk management and other prioritized E&C; projects and initiatives in the Affiliate(s).

As a trusted advisor,





positively influence key stakeholders on appropriate risk taking
Partner with leadership in driving a culture of integrity through, for example, the use of ethical decision making frameworks
Identify and respond to compliance inquiries and provide advice and solutions to internal clients in accordance with the Company's high ethical and compliance standards.

Identify emerging risks from respective Affiliate(s) and proactively provide these insights and feedback to Lead BP, GET, Risk SMEs and/or other members of E&C; to ensure that appropriate risk mitigation efforts can be co-created and deployed effectively.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years experience in a regulatory area (e.g. compliance, finance, quality) within the life sciences industry.

Significant program and project management expertise.







Strong expertise in compliance with law, regulations and industry codes relevant to a highly regulated industry.

Knowledge of best practices relating to compliance in highly regulated industries.
