Job Summary
We are seeking part time and full time skilled and enthusiastic bartenders to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests in a fast paced, high volume environment across from Budweiser Gardens. Strong knowledge of various drink recipes & mixing techniques are mandatory.
As front of house staff, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, serving food, managing the bar area, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and delivering drinks promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and restocking supplies as needed.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and adhere to responsible serving practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders when applicable.
- Assist in creating new drink recipes and contribute to the bar's overall menu development.
- Manage time effectively during busy shifts to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Preparing cocktails and other drinks according to the establishment’s recipes
Knowledge of wine, beer, spirits and being able to answering customers’ questions.
Ensuring compliance with legal drinking age requirements
Managing bar inventory and restocking supplies
Processing payments and balancing cash drawers
Experience & Requirements
- 3 years previous experience in bartending & restaurant food service in Canada is required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; ability to learn new technology quickly is essential.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.
- Excellent customer service & interpersonal skills required
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and multitask
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean workspace
Good memory and ability to recall drink recipes and customer orders
Basic computer literacy knowledge and experience with POS systems
Proficiency in handling cash transactions and making accurate change
Responsible alcohol service and knowledge of legal drinking age regulations
Creativity in crafting unique cocktails and drink presentations
Smart Serve certified
WHMIS certified
First Aid/CPR a bonus
