Position Info:
Position: Sous Chef
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $23.00 $25.00/hour (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
Number of Positions: 2
Work Location: 67 West 6th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5Y 1K2
Benefits:
4% vacation pay
Job Duties:
Supervise daily activities and the duties of kitchen staff
Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
Provide training to cooks on the methods of preparing, cooking, garnishing, and presenting dishes
Create new recipes
May plan menus and request necessary food and kitchen supplies
Prepare and cook whole meals as well as develop decorative food displays
Job requirements:
Education:
Completion of secondary school is required
Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience are required
Language: English
