AtkinsRéalis' Infrastructure and Water Utilities team is in search of a Municipal Design Engineer to join our growing team. Be part of a team that has been designing and building water infrastructure around the world for more than a century.





We protect water sources, design water plants, return wastewater safely to the ecosystem, and finalize flood defense strategies. You will work with environmentally responsible teams who are always pushing research and innovation. This position reports to the Director, Water Infrastructure Western Canada.

This position can be based in Burnaby, BC or Calgary, AB.

Your role within the team:

- Preparing utility pipe network, site grading, access road, and drainage design using Civil 3D;
- Perform hydraulic analysis and modeling of storm and water systems, using stormwater, and water distribution network modeling software;
- Formulating preliminary and detailed designs and drawings for various engineering and planning projects (municipal, land developments, and transportation);
- Prepare quantity and cost estimates, technical construction specifications in accordance with MMCD standards;
- Preparation of construction contract documents and special provisions, and tender documents for above works;






- Pump station design;
- Leading, guiding, and mentoring a team of technologists and Junior engineers.

The ideal candidate:

- University degree in Civil Engineering (Environmental or Water resources) from a recognized institution, or a college diploma from a Civil Engineering program, or equivalent experience;






- Minimum of 8 years' experience in the design and construction of civil engineering works;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficient in the use of analytical and design software including AutoCad, Civil 3D and MicroStation;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment;
- Arc GIS experience/field inspection experience is an asset.
- A valid driver's license is required.

Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $87,500 - $132,300 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience,





and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
