Overview:
As Shipping/Receiving you will be responsible for receiving all product entering and leaving our facility. You will package outgoing shipments, develop mailing labels and shipping documents to ensure that all orders have been filed correctly, contacting carrier for quotations of shipping.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- - Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or by computer.
- - Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or by computer, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions.
- - Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.
- - Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.
- - Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
- - Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems.
- - May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
- - Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS :
- - Comply with Workshop Safety Standards and assist in the development of Workshop Safety Standards wherever possible.
- - Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- - Comply with Quality Assurance Procedures.
- - Strong computer skills to maintain data base accurate and up to date.
- - Ability to document and track all records of shipments.
- - Excellent communication and organization skills.
- - Attention to detail and able to work as part of a team.
- - Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds etc.).
