Morrison Hershfield’s Integrated Engineering Design (IED) group provides integrated engineering solutions to institutional, industrial, transit, mission-critical, laboratory, commercial, hi-rise residential, and commercial clients with a focus on providing solutions for owners and architects where facilities require reliable and cost-effective infrastructure for both new and retrofit solutions. The combined skills of our engineers, technicians, and support personnel with their diverse backgrounds in design and construction provide clients with a team recognized as leaders in the field.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and drainage systems, designs, specifications, and drawings for all building types.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to obtain project information and discuss specific design-related problems.
- Create and present technical reports on the nature, status, and results of design or study assignments.






- Recognize the implications of assigned work on the work of other disciplines and ensure necessary coordination occurs.
- Conduct construction review activities, including site review of construction work progress.
- May supervise and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 6+ years of experience in designing mechanical systems within the consulting engineering industry.
- Current P.Eng. license holder.
- Experience working independently, without detailed supervision.
- 1 year of project management experience will be considered an asset.
- Strong computer skills, ideally including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- LEED Accreditation will be considered an asset.
- Ability to work in a team environment.






- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
