We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead our efforts in this essential area.

As the manager of NAIT's Ability Management Program you will manage and oversee the development, delivery,





and continuous improvement of NAIT's Ability Management Program by:

Managing and leading Ability Management Program and services.

Functioning as a team member to provide high-quality Ability Management Program services.

Mentoring and coaching the Ability Management Advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Coordination:

- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and industry standards.
- Manage issue resolution and performance management related to the Ability Management Program.
- Monitor and make recommendations on the program budget, with signing authority on related expenditures.
- Deliver presentations throughout NAIT related to health promotion and the Ability Management supports/services.
- Promote continuous improvement based on program evaluation results.

Case Management:
- Develop comprehensive case management plans, considering both physical and psychosocial factors.
- Provide support to employees for early recovery and return to work.






- Manage the medical component of NAIT's obligations surrounding duty to accommodate.
- Organize Return-to-Work Meetings and prepare detailed proposals for rehabilitation.

Education and Training:

- Develop and update educational materials and online training modules for the Ability Management Program.
- Oversee training sessions to promote sound case management practices.

Administration and Evaluation:
- Set staff performance expectations and goals, encouraging professional development and continuous improvement.
- Monitor case durations, costs, and return-to-work potential.
- Assist with program evaluation to ensure client satisfaction and cost-effectiveness.

Health and Wellness Promotion:
- Develop and implement strategies for employee health optimization and injury prevention.






- Develop and deliver initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace health (psychological and physical).

Skills & Abilities:

- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in disability management.
- Proven experience in disability management and program coordination.
- Familiarity with case management software (Medgate experience is an asset), advanced computer training/skill (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong project management and leadership skills.

Knowledgeable of WCB processes, policy, claims and the ability to develop and implement a WCB strategy.

Proven experience with health and wellness promotion.







Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Human Resources, Occupational Health, Disability Management) or Occupational Health Nursing Certificate; Disability Management certification or an equivalent.

10-12 years' disability management experience, 3 of which shall be in a leadership role.

Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).

Remuneration: $90,314.64 - $119,655.90 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
