Description :

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Process Engineer on a permanent basis on our Process Operations team. This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK.

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your experience to the next level. In this role, you will support all the areas of the CRC and provide guidance to Operations, Plant, and Maintenance engineering. You will lead the technical Process Engineering activities at CRC within an assigned group of process units of similar technologies.





You will use your understanding of advanced chemical engineering principals to work in areas including front end and detailed process engineering design while being an active participant in process equipment rating and design.

What you’ll do:

- Provide Process Engineering support for operations and projects, including the preparation of technical reports, diagrams and specifications that are in line with regulatory and professional requirements.
- Design, develop and deliver process engineering projects, programs, technologies, equipment, and products to meet CRC needs.
- Develop process simulations using specialized process simulators such as PROII, and HYSIS, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (PID’s), Line Designation Tables (LDT’s) and material and heat balances.
- Conduct research and analysis to determine best practices and trends to provide input on guidelines, procedures, and practice improvements to create better efficiencies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and contractors on project tasks and timelines to achieve prescribed objectives.
- Lead preparation of specialized reports on process engineering studies, research,





and operations troubleshooting that are required to obtain project approvals.
- Leads technology-based reviews on equipment bad actors with cross functional team, including aligned annual plans to resolve problematic equipment.
- Leads risk reduction and improvement projects withing assigned technology stream.
- Establish, and maintain technology debottleneck plans.
- Initiates and leads key profitability, reliability, and safe operation projects in alignment with CRC operating plan.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Engineering & Engineering Technology and:

- Have 6-9 years of petroleum refining or a related industry.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized institution with preference for a major in chemical or petroleum disciplines.
- Have a valid membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a Professional Engineer.
- Prior experience in FCC and/or Delayed Coking operations will be considered an asset.
