#Plains is currently looking to fill the 3-Month, temporary position of Administrative Assistant based at our Cantuar Area office. This role provides a high caliber of administrative support to the District Management Team including South Saskatchewan Pipeline, Manito Pipeline, and Wascana Pipeline. The successful candidate will report to the SSPL Area Supervisor, support internal staff and the District Manager, while acting as a key liaison with other PMC district offices and the Calgary corporate office. This role is a 3 Month temporary opportunity with the opportunity to extend.







Responsibilities:

- Reception at Cantuar office (responding to visitors and answering switchboard);
- Coordinate Purchase Requisitions with leaders and field staff in associate areas
- Provide backup general reception and administrative services at the district level;
- Prepare, create, and distribute various reports using Microsoft Office tools;
- Create meeting agendas, minutes, and action trackers, tracking actions to completion;
- Administrative support as required (updating phone lists, ordering stationary, sizing & ordering safety apparel, maintaining photo copiers, mail pickup & distribution, email distribution lists, meeting room calendars);
- Support ISN administration for qualifying vendors and service providers;






- Provide administrative support for any emergency response;
- Maintain Employee training records using the Learning Management System (eTraining) and coordinating employee instructor led training;
- Provide confidential and administrative support to leader and the Area Management Team (AMT);
- Execute document control and records management, maintaining the integrity of associated systems;
- Preparing expense reports;
- Support Area fleet administrator;
- Area Sharepoint & key control administrator;
- Ensure managers have reviewed SSOP’s / SSOI’s / SSMI’s and are updated on the database;
- Arrange area staff functions as required.

Qualifications:

- Certificate in Office Administration or equivalent business diploma preferred;






- 2–4 years’ administrative experience preferred;
- Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint;
- Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and responsibility;
- Able to work with minimal supervision;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Oil and gas industry experience preferred;
- Able to contribute to and thrive in a busy team environment;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Demonstrate initiative and strong work ethic;
- Permanent residency within 100 km of the Cantuar office;
- Compliance with the company’s Drug and Alcohol Policy including pre-employment testing;
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract; and
- Cleared criminal history (background)
