Full job description
Pasona Canada Inc is currently accepting resumes for the following professional opportunity on behalf of our client in Toronto, Ontario. This position is responsible for providing financial services to clients by verifying L/C, Standby Letter of Credit (SBLC)
and Trade Financing products related to Letter of Credits and Import Bills to ensure they comply with predetermined credit lines. The position also provides administrative support for loan servicing to the department.
Position: Loan Analyst Specialist
Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid work model with 2-3 days in office)
Status: 1 year temporary contract
Responsibilities:
- Verify corporate customer loan application details and transactions
- Obtain loan rollover / repayment / drawdown requests and negotiate pricing with clients
- Contact clients to obtain SBLC issuance instructions, application, templates and control of issuance record
- Input deal, facility and daily loan deals into Loan IQ
- Input and set up or update FX and interbank facilities in FOX and OBS
- Update customer’s accounts by preparing and passing entries to Loan IQ or Profile
- KYC/Compliance check for new and existing clients
- Prepare and issue Standby Letters of Credit and invoices for Bilateral Credit Facilities
- Provides other administrative assistance, e.g. drafts correspondence,
reports customer complaints to Management
- Ensures full compliance of policies and procedures, including Anti-Money Laundering policies, and requirements of the relevant regulatory bodies
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree in Mathematics or Statistics
- 3-5 years previous related corporate banking, including client interfacing experience with SBLC and/or trade financing products
- Client interfacing experience with Loans, FX, L/C
- Familiarity with UCC and ISP rules
- Loan IQ experience
- Strong MS Excel skills, FOX, OBS, Profile experience and attention to detail
- Excellent English communication (written and spoken) and organizational skills
