Position Overview:
As a Back End Developer at Zoomermedia, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic and database management that power our applications. You will collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our digital products. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that enhance user experience and drive our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust server-side applications and APIs that meet the needs of our users and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code,
adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure reliability and functionality.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to improve our development processes and solutions.
- Document development processes, code changes, and application features for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Back End Developer, with a strong understanding of server-side programming languages (e.g.,
Python, Java, Ruby, PHP, etc.).
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and data modeling concepts.
- Knowledge of web services and RESTful APIs, with experience in integrating third-party services.
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Resourceful and reliable, with a proactive approach to tackling challenges and delivering results.
- Excellent research skills, with the ability to analyze and synthesize information effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal,
with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A passion for learning and staying current with industry trends and technologies.
