Role Overview:
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Canadianimperial, you will play a crucial role in shaping our workforce and ensuring we attract the best talent in the market. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities related to the recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to managing the hiring pipeline. You will work closely with hiring managers to understand their needs and develop effective recruitment strategies that align with our organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions that accurately reflect the requirements of each role.
- Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, and networking, to identify and attract potential candidates.
- Screen resumes and applications to shortlist qualified candidates for interviews.
- Conduct initial phone screenings and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
- Manage the candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, ensuring timely communication and feedback.
- Assist in the development and implementation of recruitment strategies to enhance our employer brand and attract top talent.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our applicant tracking system.
- Participate in job fairs and networking events to promote Canadianimperial as an employer of choice.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition to continuously improve our recruitment processes.
- Support diversity and inclusion initiatives by actively seeking diverse candidates and promoting an inclusive hiring process.
Requirements:
- A passion for talent acquisition and a desire to help others find their ideal roles.
- Experience in recruitment, ranging from entry-level to senior-level positions, is an asset but not mandatory.
- Strong critical thinking skills to assess candidates’ qualifications and fit for the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, with the ability to influence and guide hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
- A hardworking and confident personality, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment software is a plus.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of talent acquisition.
