About the Role:
As a Back End Developer at Fitzrovia,
you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic and database systems that power our applications. You will work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to create seamless and efficient user experiences. Your contributions will help shape the future of our products and services, making a significant impact on our clients and users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable server-side applications and APIs.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Implement security and data protection measures to safeguard user information.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our development processes.
- Document development processes, code changes, and technical specifications for future reference.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Back End Developer or similar role, with a strong understanding of server-side programming languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java, etc.).
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and data modeling.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
