About the Role:
As a Project Manager at Norfolk County,





you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing a variety of projects that contribute to our mission of serving the community effectively. Your responsibilities will encompass the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and expectations.
- Execution and Monitoring: Lead project teams in executing project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, challenges, and successes.





Foster strong relationships with clients and team members to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Budget Management: Manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring that projects remain financially viable. Prepare financial reports and forecasts as required.
- Decision-Making: Utilize strong decision-making skills to address project challenges and make informed choices that align with organizational goals.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners to secure favorable terms and conditions for the organization.
- Team Leadership: Inspire and motivate project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting their professional development.






- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project delivery and efficiency.

Requirements:

- Experience: We welcome applications from candidates at all levels of experience, from entry-level to senior-level project managers. Relevant experience in project management or related fields is preferred.
- Education: A degree in project management, business administration, or a related field is an asset. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
- Personality Traits: We are looking for resilient and reliable individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Soft Skills:





Strong decision-making and negotiation skills are essential for success in this role. You should be able to navigate complex situations and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello) is advantageous. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
