Are you dedicated to improving healthcare experiences for patients? Do you have a background in working with diverse patient populations and advocating for their needs?

Stenberg College is looking for a Patient Partnership Consultant to help us build and sustain meaningful partnerships with patients in our healthcare diploma programs. In this collaborative role, you will work closely with our college staff to effectively integrate patient partner insights and experiences into our curriculum.

About Patient Partners: Patient partners are individuals who have valuable lived experiences with health or social services or who advocate for patients, such as family members, caregivers, or supporters. By sharing their stories and insights,





they play a crucial role in shaping health education and ensuring our graduates provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop processes for recruiting, onboarding, supporting, training, and compensating a diverse range of patient partners in collaboration with Stenberg staff.

Advise staff on opportunities for consulting and collaborating with patient partners in program development and delivery.

Work with Department Heads to establish parameters for patient partner speaking sessions and advisory roles.

Create documentation to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.

Design feedback surveys for students and patient partners to evaluate and enhance speaking sessions.

Train the Patient Partnership Coordinator to maintain and nurture relationships with patient partners.

Requirements and Competencies:

Strong understanding of patient-centered and family-centered care.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.







Familiarity with the British Columbia Health Quality Matrix.

Knowledge of Accreditation Canada criteria is an asset.

Education and Experience:

Post-secondary education in a relevant healthcare field.

Proven experience in patient-centered care and/or patient advocacy.

Compensation and Schedule: This project operates on a deliverables basis, meaning that payment is made upon completion of agreed-upon deliverables as outlined in the contract. You’ll have the flexibility to work independently at your own pace, choosing your preferred hours while working remotely. Meetings will be scheduled as needed to provide orientation, clarify expectations, and support your progress.

Pay: Up to $2,275.00 per month
