Typical Day in Role:
The main function of an IT Project Manager is to oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle, with responsibilities that include scope management, remediation tracking, and performance reporting.
Develop, track, and project plans, timelines, and scope including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching, and advising. Partner closely with other members of functional teams.
Communicate project status, challenges, and escalations to leadership and ensure timely responses/remediation of issues.
Prepare executive-level reporting to highlight project status.
Meet with stakeholders on a regular cadence.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
Overall 10+ years’ experience as a project manager.
Hands-on experience with managing projects that have regulatory reporting requirements.
Ability to design and develop content for strategic internal communications, including executive meetings, monthly updates, stakeholder engagements, and specific business change updates.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
Spanish is an asset.
Strong MS suite skillset.
Experience with Microsoft projects software.
Banking/FI experience is an asset.
Soft Skills Required:
Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required.
PMP or PMI certification.
