Our US-based client is looking for a Senior C# Backend Engineer with Entity Framework and RDS (or Azure) experience for a 1 year-contract, with a strong likelihood for long-term renewals. Remote from Anywhere in Canada if you're incorporated or able to incorporate.

Duties and Essential Job Functions:
Develop and contribute to long-term technical solutions and strategies of the engineering department.
Own backend services related to the identity and e-commerce needs of the entire company.
Compliance, privacy, and security planning and implementation.
Build, deploy and monitor services in a cloud environment.
Build, maintain and improve automation tools.
Able to work effectively in ambiguous settings with minimal guidance.
Detail-oriented approach to designing APIs and maintaining services.
Ability to work gracefully under pressure.
Always be thinking of ways to improve performance and stability.
Thinking proactively towards capacity planning, expansion and system upgrades.
Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years professional experience.
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering,
computer science, related field or equivalent work experience.
.Net framework, .Net core, Entity framework, SignalR, REST.
Database administration (MySQL or related).
Backend/web development programming languages (C#, JavaScript, Typescript, PHP).
Cloud Backend Development with AWS (RDS, EC2, Security policies and network).
Windows server 2016, IIS, soft firewall.
