Job Description:

On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking an accomplished Project Manager with expertise in the financial services sector. As a Project Manager, you will bring a minimum of 8 years of experience leading technology projects, showcasing a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting defined scope, including Change Management. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of detail orientation, with the ability to plan and execute prioritized technology and strategic initiatives, delivering top-notch service that shapes our client's technology future.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:







· Lead cross-functional teams through the end-to-end project delivery lifecycle to achieve business objectives.

· Negotiate and collaborate with vendors and system implementors at all levels while managing vendor financial and operational performance against contractual requirements.

· Plan and deliver complex projects within scope, budget, time, and expected benefits, adhering to the appropriate Project Delivery methodology and guidelines.

· Foster relationships with Sponsor(s) and senior stakeholders to ensure business needs and initiative deliverables/outcomes are in alignment.

· Present at the Steering Committee/to Senior Leadership and address expectations and concerns through clear communication and pro-active follow-ups.

· Appropriately select an implementation methodology based on the nature of the work and other organizational factors.

· Identify and work to resolve delivery dependencies within the assigned project, the broader Strategic/Technology Initiatives portfolio, and Operational priorities.







· Capture and monitor delivery metrics and work to continuously improve quality, velocity, and time to market.

· Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team resources, influencing them and their teams to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

· Contribute to the improvement of project management best practices across the enterprise and help drive consistency, transparency, and execution on projects.

· Provide clear, timely, and accurate communications to the project team members on all aspects of the project, including decisions made by the Steering Committee; manage project integration and coordination.

Top Skills Necessary

- Project Management experience - 8+ years of Project Management experience including liaising with business and IT stakeholders to lead the planning and implementation of projects, creating project charters, project scope, budgets, schedules, managing C level stakeholder relationships and conducting change management initiatives such as training & communication.
- Enterprise application implementation project – Have acted as a Project Manager on at least 1 Enterprise application implementation/upgrade or enhancement project requiring integration of multiple streams of business that touch upon financial and/or numerical data (payments, accounting, supply chain)






- Digital Transformation experience - Have completed at least 1 Digital Transformation project (legacy to SaaS / cloud system) that included Business Process Changes that affected multiple business units.
- Certifications – Have achieved PMP, PgMP or ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) or Prosci certifications
- Banking or Financial Institution experience - 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager at Financial Services or Financial institutions; having successfully Project Managed at least one cloud application upgrade, implementation or consolidation project or leading regulatory or compliance change management projects to internal policies, processes or systems.
