Job Description
Role: Intern - Projects Engineering
Term: May 2025 - November 2025; 8 months
Gain purposeful mentorship, valuable knowledge and the skills to develop your career by joining our Summer Intern Program in Calgary, AB.
How You'll Spend Your Days
- Working closely with experienced engineers to provide project support and contribute to various engineering initiatives
- Supporting project engineering by coordinating vendor interfaces and assisting internal stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities for process optimization, energy efficiency, and cost reduction, and helping implement solutions
- Collaborating with teams across Operations, Facilities Engineering, Strategy & Innovation, Commercial Development,
Discipline Engineering, and external stakeholders
- Assisting with project controls, including field support and tracking time and material costs as needed
- Helping with document control by filing records and enforcing document management standards
Who You Are
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related field)
- Able to effectively manage multiple concurrent expectations while prioritizing internal stakeholder objectives
- Energetic and ready to tackle new projects and ideas
- You have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical abilities, a solid work ethic, and excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- You're eager to learn about the energy industry and gain hands-on, real-world experience

The Program
- Group Project: Collaborate on a multi-team and discipline term project and showcase your insights to the AltaGas Leadership team
