AltaGas - IT Intern - Digital Strategy & Planning, Cybersecurity and AAA Security
Term: May 2025 - August 2025; 4 months

There are three IT Internship positions available for Summer 2025.
How You'll Spend Your Days
- Working alongside experienced professionals in Digital Strategy and Planning, Data Engineering, and Cybersecurity
- Strategy and Planning Intern
- Engaging in strategic demand and IT asset management, including creating business cases for technology investments and collaborating with stakeholders to define process scopes and resource needs
- Capturing functional requirements for technology investments to improve understanding before vendor engagement and maintaining technology roadmaps
- Partnering with Program Delivery & Execution, Business Solutions, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure teams to ensure transparency in demand pipelines, project budgets, and workload
- Developing expertise in business data sources, KPIs, and metrics to support stakeholder decision-making
- AAA Data Engineering Intern
- Contributing to initiatives such as AAA Delivery, Robotic Process Automation, and Data Engineering
- Cybersecurity Intern
- Assisting with projects aimed at enhancing the company's security posture
- Collaborating on assignments that provide hands-on experience and exposure to senior management while participating in networking events to build professional relationships
Who You Are
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, with the ability to analyze data and generate insights.
- You have a desire, passion, and energy to be involved in transformative work
- You have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical abilities, a solid work ethic, and excellent communication skills
- You're eager to learn about the energy industry & digital landscape and gain hands-on, real-world experience

The Program
- Group Project:
Collaborate on a multi-team and discipline term project and showcase your insights to the AltaGas Leadership team
- Social Events: Participate in group activities like lunch 'n learns with internal speakers and more
- Comprehensive Support: Access a broad support network including direct supervisors, program coordinators, HR, peers and mentors
