We’re looking for a Test Automation Specialist Co-op/ Intern to join our paid world-class internship experience. The start date for this opportunity is May 2025, you may be eligible for course credit depending on your institution. You will report to the Development Director. You will promote software & game quality by maturing end-to-end strategies that ensure comprehensive and impactful test design, bringing together approaches to verification across functional, experiential, and technical elements of quality. You are focused on technical areas of software use technology to multiply effort and expand use of test automation.
Responsibilities
- Create test plans in collaboration with Feature Group Managers and testing teams.
- Work with Feature Group managers to establish milestone acceptance criteria and hold partners accountable.
- Analyse existing test automation and tools to identify automation opportunities for the Foundations and Rendering team.
- Collaborate with our automation team on their tools and platform to partner and understand our team's automation needs.
- Work with developers to categorize code risks.
- Use risks to guide test coverage and automation opportunities.
Desired Skills
- 3 years of study in quality assurance or applicable experience in technology fields
- Knowledge of software/game development, including both Agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Understanding of test automation tools or test harnesses.
- Defect and Task tracking tool experience (JIRA, JAAS, Github).
- Interest in Machine Learning (ML) & Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled autotests.
We are only considering students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program throughout this Co-op/Internship, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2025. You must be legally authorized to work in Canada or US on a full-time basis during the Co-op/Internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations,
a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.
EA has listed the pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
PAY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $24 - $38 USD Hourly
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $24 - $38 USD Hourly
• Jersey City, NJ :
º $24 - $38 USD Hourly
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $21 - $25 USD Hourly
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $24 - $33 USD Hourly
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º 65,000 - $70,000 CAN Salary
The pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k). Interns in California are also eligible for Voluntary Disability Insurance.
