BWI Business World Inc is 30 year wholesale family-owned BC business that manufactures, warehouses, sells, and distributes essential products to businesses in the private liquor and hospitality industries.
We are a small free-spirited,
progressive and incredibly hard-working team that is looking for a very special person to join us as our in-house Administrator/Bookkeeper.
BWI is known for it's excellent customer service and long-standing great relationships with it's many decades long repeat customers and vendors so your interpersonal skills must be exceptional.
This is not a remote position and requires coming into the office Monday-Friday as it entails hands-on work with our in-house team and the ability to deal with our large vendor, customers and contractor base.

Duties:
- Perform administrative functions using QuickBooks, Microsoft Office 365 and other CRM and Inventory control modules.
- Perform general bookkeeping duties including reconciling the bank accounts and credit cards and preparing documents for our accountant with QuickBooks.
-Create spreadsheets using strong excel and math skills.
-Enter payments from customers,
communicate with customers/vendors and problem solve when needed.
-Support order fulfillment processes with our sales reps and operations manager with ongoing communication.
-Ensure smooth inventory and warehouse operational systems while working collaboratively with our shipping team.
- Answer phones and emails as needed as we are a small team that works together and supports each other.
-Create and organize spreadsheets for our purchaser and operations manager to use as needed. Be an abstract thinker and able to give your input and suggestions to help us thrive.
Requirements:
1. Education: Completed Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field from an accredited English speaking College or University.
2.
Minimum 5 years experience working in a similarly busy office setting and in areas listed below.
3. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities are essential for interpreting and analyzing inventory data, identifying trends, and making informed decisions to optimize inventory control processes. Ability to track and keep multiple shipments organized, many of them coming from offshore areas.
4. Organizational Skills: Proven experience to effectively manage and organize records, timelines and due dates for important events.
Track stock levels, customer buying patterns and coordinate inventory projections of suppliers and vendors.
Create efficient filing systems to organize paperwork.
5. Attention to Detail: Meticulous and thorough monitoring of inventory levels, accuracy, costs, turnover rates and procedures is crucial.
6.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language essential. Ability to communicate over the phone and via email with vendors, freight companies, customers, professionals including lawyers, accountants etc.
7. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency using inventory control management software including QuickBooks, advanced Excel and GS1 functions.
9. Teamwork: We have a small internal team of only seven so require you to have an amazing attitude, the exceptional ability to collaborate with your fellow colleagues, and be a humble leader and team player that fits into our positive workplace.
Most of our vendors,
support staff and contractors work off-site so strong organizational and multitasking skills are imperative to lead the administration of our organization.
Other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of our organization as required.
