Full job description
Location - Penobsquis, New Brunswick
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations:
- Manage the overall operations of the wash plant
- Manage the maintenance and repairs of all company equipment
- All aspects of health & safety for our employees and anyone on our site
- Ensuring the products we produce are compliant with all applicable specifications
- Ensuring compliance with all environmental requirements
- Production planning to ensure we have the inventory of products we require
Personnel:
- Management of all site staff
Customers:
- Work with our customers to understand their quantity and quality requirements
- Trouble shoot customer complaints
Aggregates:
- Locating and testing of potential new aggregate sources
- Working with pit owners
- Development of pits including managing the clearing, grubbing, loading and rehabilitation phases
Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities, Education and Experience:
- 5+ years experience in aggregates production, preferably wash plant operations
- Valid drivers’ license in NB
- Proven leadership abilities
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude – knowledge of operation, maintenance, and basic repairs of wash plant equipment
- Some knowledge of the applicable specifications for concrete aggregate products
