We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Business Insights who will be responsible for supporting the provision of high quality, actionable insights, and analytics and helping develop our business insights reporting and analytics.
This role will be working closely with Senior Managers both supporting “best-in-class” analytics on a variety of Business problems as well as supporting the development and continued improvement of our insights and reporting Eco structure.
This role will have you working along side both Very Strong Analytical and Technical team members giving you the opportunity to learn new skills and experiences as part of the role. In the role you should be comfortable using SQL/SAS for data extraction and data wrangling as part of your daily responsibilities.
What you'll do:
- Build positive relationships of trust and mutual respect with colleagues and collaborate closely with them.
- Collaborates with internal to support our business intelligence and analytics, supporting insights which will drive performance improvement.
- Acquires clear understanding of business needs and strategy with ability to communicate and complete requirements.
- Comfortable working with large and varied data sets in the delivery of analysis, or in the creation of new reporting and dashboarding
What you'll bring:
- University degree or equivalent experience in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or related subject area
- 3+ years industrial experience in BI Analytics or Reporting
- Experience working in the P+C insurance industry desirable.
- Has effectively worked within a matrix & complex environment.
- SQL or Other Data Programming experience
- Experience Presenting analysis to others with the use of data visualization.
- Strong analytical skill with an insatiable desire to probe, question, validate and challenge.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
- Able to champion change with the ability and appetite to drive optimization in processes and optimally collaborate with a team with varied strengths.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good Programming Skills in SAS/SQL and/or Python/R
- Excellent Excel and Data Visualization skills
What you’ll get:
- The salary band for this position ranges from $64,200 to $119,200. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
