About Us:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support the Minister in achieving these goals.
Position Overview:
The Executive Assistant to the Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development will provide high-level administrative support to the Minister, ensuring the efficient operation of the Minister’s office. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Executive Assistant will serve as a key liaison between the Minister, stakeholders, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Manage the Minister’s calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements. Prepare and organize briefing materials, agendas, and presentations for meetings and events.
- Communication support: Support the Communications team drafting, reviewing, and editing correspondence, reports, and other documents. Handle incoming communications, including phone calls, emails, and inquiries,
ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with government officials, industry representatives, and community organizations to facilitate communication and collaboration on labor and training initiatives.
- Event Coordination: Support the planning and coordination of events, meetings, and public appearances for the Minister, including logistics, invitations, and follow-up activities.
- Research and Analysis: Support research on relevant labor and training issues, providing the Minister with insights to inform his decision-making.
- Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism, maintaining the trust and integrity of the Minister’s office and Government of Ontario.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the Minister’s staff and ministry personnel to ensure alignment and support for the Minister’s priorities and initiatives.
Minimum requirements:
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
-Possessing a G-class drivers license and willing to drive for extended periods of time.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Requirements:
-Experience in an executive assistant or administrative support role, preferably in a government or public sector environment.
-Strong understanding of labor, training, and skills development issues is an asset.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 CAD
Schedule: Monday to Friday. 40+ hours/week, working evenings and early mornings.
Reporting to: Director of Operations and Tour
Language: Fluency in English is required.
Work Location:
In-person in Toronto and Peterborough.
