Job Description
We currently have exciting opportunities within our Pulp & Paper Division operations for Electrical Engineering Students to join our teams in Saint John and Utopia, New Brunswick, for the Winter 2025 Work Term.
Responsibilities
What You Can Expect from your Work Term:
You will get a hands-on work term working in our state-of-the-art facilities alongside our world-class professionals.
Tasks may include:
- Working with contractors and mill personnel to determine scope, planning and execution of work packages for mill operations.
- Development of detailed scopes of work for installations related to scan card access systems, 120 V – 600 V temporary construction power,
IT connections including wireless access points, switches, and cameras.
- Work with software such as Auto Cad, PowerPoint, Excel, and other Document Management Software
- Oversee installations of low to medium voltage electrical equipment, building services components, instrumentation, etc., while ensuring schedule and budget are maintained and monitoring job quality and safety.
- Assist Systems Engineers on maintenance, programming, and configuration of Mill Control Systems
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering and in good academic standing
- Team player with a safety-first mindset
- Ability to effectively time manage multiple projects.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Long-term interest in an engineering career
