Motorola Solution’s Video Division is defining the future of the security industry through innovative end-to-end-solutions. We’re changing the landscape of the surveillance industry through advanced award-winning AI based surveillance systems. Artificial Intelligence is transforming the world and our team is advancing the field as it applies to the surveillance industry. We are proud to be industry leaders in video analytics with products like Appearance Search and Unusual Motion Detection along with our recently launched Avigilon Blue cloud service platform.

Job Description
We are looking for an Intermediate Software Engineer in Test experienced in automating cloud based web applications and APIs. An ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing test automation for large scale, customer facing, production Azure Cloud C# web applications and APIs.
Responsibilities include:
- Improving our development efficiency and product quality through a strong skill set and great attitude towards software test automation
- Designing, implementing and improving our test automation infrastructure’s reliability, scalability and performance
- Designing and developing tools or simulators to facilitate testing for software products
- Developing, maintaining,
and executing automated tests for software products
- Planning, designing, documenting and performing tests for software products
- Identifying, reproducing, and reporting product defects
- Leading and assisting other developers in the diagnosis and replication of product failures
- Creating and maintaining documentation on test and development procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications in Software Engineering, Computer Science
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with scripting (Javascript, Python) or programming languages (C#, Java)
- Knowledge of architectural and design patterns
- Experience with Cloud application development and testing (Selenium, Playwright)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong hands on knowledge of Azure Cloud,
GitHub and Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience creating complete test automation solutions (Evidence of working examples will help)
- Good knowledge of current Quality, Cloud and DevOps tools and practices required for test automation of Cloud Applications
- Experience mentoring developers about test automation
This position is based in Vancouver, BC and the candidate must reside in the Greater Vancouver Area as you will be required to go into the office on a hybrid work schedule.
The base salary for this position in British Columbia is 90,000 - 115,00 CAD depending on experience.
