Description
Reporting to the Accountant responsibilities for this position include the following:
1. Process and audit sales cashups.
2. Process supplier invoices, statements, and prepare correspondence.
3. Process and audit interdepartmental transfers.
4. Completion of gross margin calculations.
5. Reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
6. Assist in budget process as required.
7. Assist with internal and external audits as required.
8. Assist with the preparation of period-end and year-end financial statements.
9. Maintain patronage membership and equity ledgers.
10. Assist with maintaining petroleum records.
11. Assist in by-weekly payroll administration as required.
12.
Work effectively with staff/supervisors and customers.
13. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Grade XII
- Courses Required: Introductory Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I, and Intermediate Accounting II (or equivalents).
- Completion of SIAST Accounting Certificate or equivalent would be considered an asset.
- One year of accounting related experience. (Including data entry)
- Extensive experience with Office specifically Outlook and Excel 1 & 2.
- Must be able to work mornings and afternoons.
- *a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
