Position Summary
Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, the Banquet Chef provides support/leads our diverse year round Food operations. Ensuring superior food quality and presentation in all venues and ensuring guests, volunteers and employees of the Calgary Stampede have an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of the highest quality food and contemporary presentations of all items
- ensure all food products are available through weekly procurement (doing food ordering with Chef de Partie/Sous Chef ) and prepared on a timely basis
- Maintain exceptional menu knowledge and attention to detail to current menus
- Daily meetings with Chef de Partie/Sous Chef to review upcoming events and recap past events to ensure all teams are synced.
- Support a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction
- Leads the cleanliness of all kitchen and areas on a daily basis in accordance with CS and Alberta Health Services standards
- Assists Chef de Partie/Sous Chef with research on latest trends
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic and have worked in a dynamic environment where they have experience delivering on multiple priorities and will hold the following qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Hotel or Restaurant setting.
- Journeyman certification is required.
- Must possess excellent organizational and quick decision making skills.
- Must have high quality standards and promote teamwork.
- Must have good knowledge of kitchen safety and safe food handling certificate.
- Must be able to work with minimal or no supervision.
- Must possess good carving skills
