We are recruiting for HVAC Technician position on our Day shift to join our Kitchener Production team.
This is a unionized position with a starting rate of$41.05per hour.
Assemble, disassemble and modify mechanical equipment working from engineering drawings, field sketches, other related documents and verbal instruction needed to perform assigned duties
Must participate and work within safety regulations and guidelines while maintaining a safe work environment for all plant employees
Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all HVAC facility equipment safely Ensure production downtime is minimized and production output is maximized
Respond promptly to breakdown calls and troubleshoot/repair the problems
Perform breakdown analysis to create action plans to address root causes

Abilities Creative problem solving, job task planning and organizing, continuous learning and improvement
Requires standing, walking,
reaching and bending for periods of time across all areas of the facility
Physically fit, ability to lift up to 40lbs in a safe manner
Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet using Scissor-lifts and ladders
Excellent knowledge of equipment and process within scope of job
Some repairs will be conducted in high or low temperature Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in maintenance shop
Reliable attendance and punctuality; flexibility in work schedule to accommodate business requirements; including weekends#INDDF Minimum 2-5 years relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment
Relevant working experience in a fast-paced team environment
Must hold a valid 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic Ontario license
Desirable to have 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), 442A Industrial Electrician, or Gas tickets.
Demonstrate solid communication and interpersonal skills in a team-based work environment
Experience reading and troubleshooting electrical diagrams and schematics drawings
Experience in a food manufacturing environment would be considered a definite asset
