POSITION SUMMARY
The Medical Imaging Patient Service Unit is expanding their services and seeking dynamic individuals. The MRI technologist will work with the MR team. Duties will consist of, but not be limited to:
Provide exceptional patient care in a variety of clinical cases which include neuro, musculoskeletal,
abdominal and cardiac imaging.
Liaise with the radiologists, sedation area staff, technologists and anaesthesia for anaesthetic patients.
Perform scans on a variety of clinical cases which include neuro, musculoskeletal, abdominal and cardiac
Responsible for magnet safety for patients and staff
Maintaining accurate computer and image records with all relevant and required patient and exam information
Trouble shooting and ensuring that medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner
Keep abreast of current trends and new developments in Medical Imaging
Will be required to participate in all shift rotations and on call coverage.
May also be required to participate in teaching student technologists
Any other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Criminal Record Check (CRC) (Essential)
3 years pediatric radiography experience (Preferred)
CMRITO current registration (Essential)
OARMS registration (Preferred)
Completion of a post diploma in MR or recognized equivalent with MRI Certification (Essential)
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (Essential)
Cross sectional anatomy course (Preferred)
Computer literacy (Essential)
Effective time management skills; ability to organize work and set priorities (Essential)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Essential)
Ability to work effectively as a team member, as well as work as an autonomous professional (Essential)
Ability to work accurately under stressful conditions, to be patient and family focused with customer service orientation
Available to work on call/stand by/week-end/holidays as required (Essential)

RÉSUMÉ DES FONCTIONS
L’Unité des services aux patients de l’imagerie diagnostique étend ses services. Il lui faut donc des personnes dynamiques. Le ou la technologue en imagerie diagnostique travaillera avec l’équipe de la RM. Il ou elle accomplira les tâches suivantes, sans toutefois s’y limiter :
offrir des soins exceptionnels aux patients dans une variété de cas cliniques qui comprennent l’imagerie neurologique, musculo-squelettique, abdominale et cardiaque;
communiquer avec de nombreux médecins, les infirmières autorisées (IA), les AA, les technologues en radiation médicale (TRM)
effectuer des balayages sur une variété de cas cliniques qui comprennent des cas neurologiques, musculo-squelettiques, abdominaux et cardiaques;
assumer la responsabilité de la sécurité des aimants pour les patients et le personnel;
tenir des dossiers exacts à l’ordinateur et en images contenant tous les renseignements pertinents et nécessaires sur le patient et sur l’examen;
effectuer du dépannage et veiller à ce que l’équipement d’imagerie médicale et auxiliaire fonctionne de manière efficace et efficiente;
se tenir au courant des tendances actuelles et des nouveaux développements dans l’imagerie médicale;
participer à toutes les rotations et aux rotations de poste et aux couvertures d’appels;
peut aussi devoir participer à la formation de technologues stagiaires;
toute autre fonction requise.
QUALIFICATIONS
Un formulaire de vérification du casier judiciaire (VCJ) (Essentiel)
Expérience de 3 ans en radiographie pédiatrique (Préférable)
Adhésion en règle à l’ACTRM
Adhésion à l’OARMS (Essentiel)
Diplôme d’études supérieures en RM ou certificat équivalent reconnu en ID (Essentiel)
Certificat valide de BCLS (Essentiel)
Cours d’anatomie transversale (Préférable)
Connaissances pratiques de l’ordinateur (Essentiel)
Aptitude à la gestion efficace du temps, à l’organisation du travail et à l’établissement de priorités (Essentiel)
Excellentes compétences en communication verbale et écrite (Essentiel)
Bon esprit d’équipe et sens du travail en autonomie (Essentiel)
Capacité de travailler avec précision dans un climat tendu, patience et aptitude pour le service à la clientèle axé sur les famille (Essentiel)
Disponibilité au travail sur appel, pendant les fins de semaine et pendant les congés lorsque nécessaire (Essentiel)
