THE ROLE:
Marks Marine Pharmacy is looking for a talented and junior pharmacy assistant to work on -site in our Vancouver office.
As a Junior pharmacy assistant, you will play a key role in the Marks Marine Pharmacy team. Working with Pharmacists and Technicians. You will assist in delivering a first-class quality service to our wide range of patients seeking our services.

Responsibilities:
• Take prescriptions from patients online, by phone, fax, or mail.
• Liaise with patients from the US and ensure that they have adhered to the correct Canadian medical prescription regulations.
• Liaise with patients’ Doctors to arrange refills.
• Check prescriptions and ensure ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
• Check online inventory database and advise technicians on any potential supply issues.
• Work with pharmacists to fulfil patient prescriptions.
• Ensure online orders are fulfilled and monitor postage tracking systems to ensure effective delivery of medications.
• Providing customer service by answering inquiries, addressing customer concerns, and offering information on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products.
• Maintain patient records and confidential information in accordance with privacy regulations.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a pharmacy assistant / administrative role.
• Secondary School education.
• Customer service experience.
• Strong sales experience.
• Experience with drug product databases and an understanding of drug company branding and generic medications.
• Fluent oral and written English.
Skills and Competencies:
• High sense of urgency.
• Active and sympathetic listener.
• Comfortable being on the phone at a very high frequency.
• Willingness and drive to learn new things.
• Strong skills in planning, organizing, and attention to detail.
• Ability to form connections in a people-oriented environment.
