Our client is seeking a Junior Cloud Analyst to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and system maintenance of an Enterprise Database Archival Service on Cloudera Data Platform (CDP Public Cloud).

This is a fully remote role that can be worked anywhere in Canada but must be worked 8:15-4:30 MST Monday- Friday (36.25 hours a week).

Must Haves:







- 3+ years as an IT professional with a university degree or 2 year diploma in related field
- 1+ years using Big Data Cloudera Data Platform
- 1+ years doing CDP Public Cloud upgrade, patching, and system maintenance
- 1+ years with Big Data and Business Intelligence
- 1+ years with Data Warehouse and Reporting Tools
- 1+ years with Azure Infrastructure and Services
- 1+ years with Kubernetes Cluster and Linux OS

Additional Experience REQUIRED:

- 3+ years in planning/monitoring User Acceptance Testing
- 3+ years with Azure subscriptions and cost analysis
- 3+ years with development for dashboards and reports

Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patch installations, and system configurations, to ensure the stability and security of the CDP environment.
2. Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to support users in using the CDP platform.
3. Work with Big Data and Business Intelligence technologies.
4. Understand CDP Public Cloud Base and Data Services from an architecture level.
5.





Support end user issues from CDP as well as infrastructure side and provide temporary/permanent fixes.
6. Work on access requests, incidents, and change management processes using ticketing systems like Service Now.
7. Administer and audit CDP User access and data management from various endpoints/levels like Console, Ranger, Virtual Warehouse, Data Visualization.
8. Upgrade/Patch Cloudera Data Lake, Data Hub, Data Warehouse, Virtual Warehouse, Data Visualization.
9. Take backups of Cloudera Data Lake, Data Hub, Data Warehouse, Virtual Warehouse, Data Visualization.
10. Migrate applications/data from Development to Production Environments.
11. Troubleshoot and fix issues encountered in SSSD, Free IPA, Azure IDP.
12.





Troubleshoot and fix issues encountered in HDFS, Yarn, Ranger, Hive, Impala, Sqoop, Hue, Cloudera Data Warehouse, Cloudera Data Visualization.
13. Troubleshoot and fix issues encountered in Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure Single/Flexible Postgres DB.
14. Manage Azure VMs, Storage Accounts, Private Subnets, Private Endpoints, Cost Explorer, Quotas, Identities/Roles.
15. Manage RHEL OS, Salt orchestration.
16. Build and optimize data warehouses and data lakes, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval systems for analytical needs.
17. Design and create CDP DataViz dashboards and custom reporting with various data sources and inputs.
18. Provide depth and insight to data produced by various teams and transform them into meaningful analytics for decision making.
19.





Analyze data and prepare information results.
20. Gather and document client requirements.
21. Escalate issues and risks, as appropriate.
